A Amendoeira

Maria Anglica Monnerat Alves

A persistncia, no renascer anual.

Na primavera, o emergir da latncia. A perfeio esttica aliada sombra benfazeja, no vero.

The Almond Tree

Tall and sovereign, she imposes.

The trunk splits in two: from each one arises branches, in simetrical estages, of decrescent circumference,in order to reach an ideal shape.

The strength is confirmed by the buds in its base. The persistence, in the annual re-birth.

In the spring, the raising of the latency. The esthetical perfection combined to the good shadow, in the summer.

I prefer it in the autumn, sepia symphony. Brown shades, golden shades, in several hues, coloring its leafs, that are fallen on the ground, flaming carpet!

And, in the end, the dignity of the nudity! And the re-start, the re-birth, as a phoenix that leads us to have hope in a Tomorrow!
